Concordia Lutheran School

Concordia Lutheran School was established in 1996 and exists to "provide the children and young adults in the greater Salem area with a quality, Christ-centered education in a loving, caring atmosphere; preparing each individual to achieve his or her highest potential for service to God and others".

It is registered with and recognized by the State of Oregon Department of Education, and has a maximum classroom size of 20 in grades 1-8 and 18 in kindergarten.

Concordia has traditional structured classrooms with a variety of individual, small, and large group activities; individual and cooperative learning, and goals that are based upon the needs of individual students. The school uses a combination of basal readers, whole-language, and a strong phonics component in our reading and writing curriculum. The School uses positive reinforcement as the preferred method of discipline, verbal warnings, "time-outs," and parent conferences if necessary.

Concordia communicates with parents via teacher notes, a monthly newsletter, and Parent Club minutes.

The school admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. Concordia does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

The school is located at 4663 Lancaster Drive NE, at the intersection of Lancaster and Hayesville Dr.
